Technology can assist the work. Editorial responsibility remains with ITBank. This page explains how we describe AI assistance, recorded human review and the evidence behind an article.

Where AI may assist

ITBank may use AI tools to organise public-source research, suggest questions, prepare an initial draft, improve structure or edit language. Assistance varies by article. A fluent answer is not evidence: factual claims still need checking against reliable sources. AI assistance is a production method, not an article category or a guarantee of accuracy.

What our article labels mean

AI-assisted means that the article’s disclosure identifies material AI involvement in preparing the work. It does not imply first-hand reporting, independent verification or hands-on testing. Material generated with AI should be described accurately in the article-specific note, including when AI produced an initial draft rather than merely editing language.

Human-reviewed is displayed only when the article is published, its review status is approved, and an identified reviewer and valid review timestamp are recorded. It describes the recorded editorial approval, not a guarantee that an article is error-free. Automated checks and AI drafting do not qualify as human approval.

Human review not confirmed means that the required approval record is incomplete or unavailable. It must not be interpreted as human-reviewed. Preparation-stage notices may remain in an article’s original methods note; when a later approval is recorded, the current label identifies that status without erasing the original limitations.

Checking the evidence

Editorial review should check important facts, names, dates, quotations and source links. Primary documents are preferred where available. Company statements, estimates, opinions and ITBank analysis should be distinguishable. Historical announcements retain their source dates; those dates are not presented as the date ITBank published its own article.

Sources give readers a way to inspect the evidence. Linking to a source does not transfer its reporting to ITBank or establish that every claim has been independently verified. Where evidence is incomplete, the article should say what remains unknown.

Reporting, reviews and profiles

We must not present a researched profile as an interview, an owner-submitted account or an independently verified company profile unless those steps occurred. Quotations must be real and attributed. We must not invent contributors, customer experiences, test results or field reporting.

A hands-on review must identify what was tested and relevant conditions. A documentation-based guide or desk review should disclose that method and its limits. AI assistance must never be used to imply experience the publication does not have.

Images and illustrations

Images require a documented source, rights basis and appropriate credit. AI-generated conceptual artwork should be labelled as an illustration, not documentary evidence of a real event, person, place or product test. An illustration does not substantiate claims in the article.

Where to find an article’s disclosure

The production and review label appears after the article text and sources. Expand Article-specific methods and limitations for the supplied disclosure. Important corrections, sponsorship disclosures and safety or eligibility warnings should remain close to the material they qualify; this policy does not replace those notices.

Corrections and accountability

ITBank Digital operates ITBank from Dallas, Texas, United States. Editorial responsibility belongs to the publisher and its editors, regardless of which tools helped prepare the work. If a statement or review label appears inaccurate, send the article URL, the statement in question and supporting evidence to [email protected].

Read our Editorial Policy, Corrections Policy, Advertising & Affiliate Policy and Privacy Policy. We aim to explain material corrections visibly and keep article dates and disclosures accurate.
